I purchased this guitar because of the Beatles and more importantly because of the "power" of television. Back in November 1995, you could not turn the TV on without seeing clips and advertisements for the upcoming Beatles mini-series program. I remember how the Rickenbacker guitar always caught my eye and looked cool in the hands of John and George. I had to get one and a few days later it was off to the local Guitar Center where I played my best Beatles material while trying out several models. Marie, (girlfriend at that time) made the final decision based on the color (fire glow) of the 330 model I played. I was not going to argue because the guitar was super cool and the Beatles mini-series started that night. I could not imagine any better way to enjoy the Beatles program, than watching it while strumming my new Rick, life was good!

This guitar is a true rock classic that is still popular today . Its unique hollow body construction, slim neck, and all-around contoured body make this guitar comfortable and easy to play. The body is carved from a single piece of maple and precision fitted with a solid back. I always loved the look of the full size body accented by the single traditionally shaped sound hole. This feature along with the long truss rod cover is instantly identified with Rickenbacker guitars. The maple with 24 fret rosewood fingerboard neck features dual truss rods and is extremely stable. While the feel of the lacquered fretboard took a little getting use to, the neck itself is a true pleasure to play. The simple dot inlay fret markers on the neck offer a simple but elegant look. Another great feature is the full double cutaways of the body which offer complete access and playability to all frets. The guitar is equipped with two single coil pickups whose output ranges from clean tones to biting overdrive. I was surprised at the vast array of sounds this guitar can deliver. Strum a Rick, you won't be disappointed.
