This is a terrific example of another classic 80's metal style guitar, a BC Rich Gunslinger with a cool Nagel Girl graphic. I have always liked the look of this model, especially the reverse headstock and, in particular, the Nagel Girl graphic. What you can not tell from the pictures are the other great features including, the sculpted body (around the neck joint area) which offers great access to the high frets, the volume pot which is wired for push pull to allow coil splitting and the lower horn, which is smaller than typical Strat style bodies giving more area for your fretting hand when using the upper frets.

The hardware include Grover tuners, a BC Rich version of a Floyd Rose tremolo (in my opinion this trem is inferior to the original Floyd Rose but I left the guitar stock), a powerful Dimarizo pickup (the color of which matches the graphic), and a super fast 22 fret maple neck. The best feature in my opinion is the graphic. I really like the background colors (shades of green, white and black) and especially liked the way the artist blended them. If you look closely at the background colors, they almost look like water droplets running down the face of the guitar. This is one of the better Nagel graphics I have seen. And in fact, Dan Lawrence (GMW) used this graphic as a reference when painting a replica for a customer.

This guitar is a great example that illustrates the high quality of work BC Rich offered back in the 80's and the guitar can hold its own when compared to guitars from other manufactures. BC Rich guitars are still excellent bargains today and their high quality is often over looked. I still think this model looks great and this guitar in particular is one of the better ones I have seen. The reverse headstock (a la Jimi Hendrix), slanted single pickup (a la EVH) coupled with the super cool graphic makes this guitar a stand out. Plus the name "Gunslinger" is just a killer name for a guitar model! Coming up with names for new guitar designs was the thing that BC Rich always excelled at. Who can ever forget other BC Rich designs with names like Warlock, Gunslinger, Outlaw, Mockingbird, Virgin and especially Bich.

This guitar remains in 100% factory original condition and is in fantastic shape. The case unfortunately did not fare so well, but it had served the guitar well. I purchased this guitar from Cranford Music in NJ after seeing her advertised on gbase.
