Another fantastic refinish by GMW guitars. I purchased this used guitar at a local Music store in Oxnard, CA for a very good price. It needed some loving care noting that the trans red burst finish was almost completely covered in stickers. Although the stickers were removed with some elbow grease and buffing compound, two areas of the finish remained raised (the lacquer had reacted with the sticker). Although it did not affect playability, it did give me a great reason to have her refinished with a cool graphic.

I asked Dan Lawrence to replicate the Beatle graphic that Rick Nelson of Cheap Trick fame had on one of his Hamer guitars. The graphic is super nice and covers the entire face of the guitar, including the pickup covers. While this particular graphic is not as detailed as others, the art is instantly recognizable as the Beatles. Dan also added the look of black binding by painting a black line around the face edge of the body. The back of the guitar was left natural and simply clear coated.

All the hardware and electronics are original to this guitar. In my opinion, the refin gives it a little something to make a good guitar even better. I like the access to the high frets and it is one of only a few guitars in my collection that has a full 2 octave (24 fret) neck. I personally prefer 22 or 21 fret necks but I really don't see a difference when I pick this one up. Great sounding and playing guitar!
