This guitar was inspired by George Lynch's ESP "Mr. Graffiti" guitar which he used during his Dokken days. I thought Lynch's guitar looked great and was debating sending my BC Rich Gunslinger to Dan Lawrence (GMW) to be refinished with a similar graffiti motif. While talking with Curt, a fellow Jackson/Charvel enthusiast, he mentioned that he had a body that Dan had painted for him back in early 90's that he was selling. Being lazy, it made more sense to buy the body from Curt and marry it with the parts off of my Gunslinger. A note of interest here is that Dan Lawrence was also one of the artists that painted Lynch's original guitar. I really like the graphic on this guitar. It covers the entire body (front, sides and back) with some interesting references, which are not all politically correct by today's standards. Even Mickey Mouse and Homer Simpson are used in the art work. The body sports a single pickup, Floyd Rose tremolo and a volume control. Note that there are two extra holes drilled where Curt had a tone and a phase switch installed but since I favor the volume only layout I left the holes as they were. The holes are hard to see as they look like part of the graffiti graphic. The neck has some cool features including the German Cross inlays and reverse headstock. The neck profile is thin and a little wider than my Charvels and the guitar is set up with low action making her a shredders delight to play. The guitar looks great and I am really happy with the way it tuned out.
