The graphic on this Charvel more than
any other helped define the 80's thanks to its association with Edward Van Halen. In fact
EVH's now famous black and yellow striped Charvel guitar from the Van Halen II era is
probably the most recognized Charvel ever and consequently is also the most copied/forged
guitar in Charvels history.
An all original black and yellow striped Charvel with a maple Strat Headstock neck is
probably the most prized of ANY Charvel guitar. Interestingly most of these guitars were
produced before Charvel used the serialized neck plates (prior to late '81) and I know of
only a handful of examples having a 4 digit serialized neck plate. |
